The Vanguard PMC Networked Bus Analyzer is a complete solution for PCI / PCI-X analysis, exercising, protocol detection, and compliance checking in a PMC environment. The product includes a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet interface, taking the power and flexibility found in VMETRO’s range of Bus Analyzers to unprecedented levels of productivity. The Vanguard PMC analyzer includes a very powerful state analyzer with a 256 bit wide 2M Sample trace memory. VMETRO’s unique hardware demultiplexing of samples simplifies specification of triggers and improves trace readability. Advanced features such as triggering on an address inside a burst and specifying true Address and Data ranges are also included. The PMC analyzer’s enhanced statistics engine offers concurrent real time measurements for Event Counting, Bus Utilization, Bus Transfer Rate, Command Distribution, Burst Length Distribution, Arbiter Latency, Wait States and User Defined Statistics. The Vanguard PMC analyzer features a built-in real-time protocol checker for PCI-X and PCI. This versatile feature automatically detects 71 PCI-X and 45 PCI protocol errors. The protocol checker automatically detects bus anomalies without the user having detailed knowledge of the PCI/PCI-X specification. |
